I have more news coming from the Olympics and I have to say that it has been a great games for Team Canada coming out of track and field and it has to be a good Olympics for the country. A couple of days ago I talked about Andre De Grasse winning the gold medal in the 200m run in record time beating out the three Americans. Now I want to report that his teammate Damian Warner won the decathlon by dominating each event and scoring a large amount to points to take the lead. A lead in which I don't think he never relinquished throughout the whole event. Congratulations to him and his coaching staff.
With that said I want to say that this have been a great improvement for Canada with regards of getting their medal count up higher than the last previous Olympic Games in which they were only able to get a few medals here and there. Now that this has happened at the Tokyo Games I would think that maybe the government would start to put more of their money into sport by offering wannabe athletes some money to use to not only pay for sporting facilities but to buy new clothing and equipment that they can use to practice or train in their chosen sport but this is easier said than done because this government doesn't put much emphasis on sport.
